MISSION STATEMENT

We pledge to provide the residents of Park County with courteous, and reliable emergency communications by providing the most professional, capable and responsive Emergency  Services and 9-1-1 communications operations possible with the resources made available to us, through a visible presence in the community.

Our goal is the preservation of life, property and public safety, by obtaining information, giving the information
to Emergency Services, and verifying its receipt to ensure timely response to the citizens of Park
County.


The Communications division of the Park County Sheriff’s
Office provides E-9-1-1 services for the residents of Park County with a staff of eight highly trained communications officers.

We dispatch for the following agencies:

Park County Sheriff’s Department
Park County Search and Rescue
Cody Police Department
Cody Fire Department
Powell Fire Department
Clark Fire and First Responders
Meeteetse Fire and First Responders
West Park Hospital EMS
Sunlight First Responders

We routinely interact on the radio with other agencies working in Park County such as Park County Road and
Bridge, City of Cody Utility departments, Powell Police Department, Powell Ambulance, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Wyoming Game and Fish and Yellowstone National Park as well as transferring numerous calls to other agencies when required. The integration of our Computer Aided Dispatch software (CAD) with both the Cody and Powell Police Departments allows us immediate access to information as it happens for our agencies to provide the best response for the situation at hand.
